WELCOME TO PAI ! We are more
than a studio. We are an educational and performance institution for children, youth and adults who love to sing, dance or
act for recreation or who have a passion to pursue a career in the arts. Our reputation for tough principles
challenges students to embrace excellence. At the end of every accomplishment or falter is a lesson designed to
equip our students with life skills. It gives us joy to see students inspired to reach new heights and strive
to discover their maximum potential. Our parents know that their children are in a safe environment and our students
know that we care. PAI is called "home away from home". We think of ourselves as a family life center.
We offer
classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, African, Voice, Piano and Musical Theatre. We happily serve
ages 2.5 to adult. Our curriculum has two training categories: a nine month major training program and a 7-8
week summer performing arts and academic enrichment camp. Workshops and master classes are offered periodically throughout
the year. We would love to have you become a part of PAI. We understand how important it is to feel confident when choosing

HER-STORY: The PAI History
With its innovative style of teaching, cutting edge choreography and dedication to high-quality
dance and music education, PAI is one of the fastest growing performing arts schools in the state of Alabama.
The J. Lockhart Performing
Arts Institute (PAI) was founded in 2002 by Mrs. Jacqueline Crenshaw Lockhart. As the Director of a local church dance ministry,
Mrs. Lockhart received numerous inquiries from parents whenever the ministry performed throughout the community.
Recognizing a need for a performing arts school that served a broader population, she started a pilot program in the basement
of her church. PAI relocated to Homewood and successfully served hundreds of children and
youth for the past 10 years. Many of PAI's students continue their training in colleges and universities, some have
started dance programs in area schools and several are pursuing careers in the arts and entertainment or
arts related fields. Continuing its desire to build the
arts community and be more accessible, PAI has relocated to downtown Brmingham and the Woodlawn Arts District. The
rest, as they say is HER-STORY!

SHOWTIME offers clinics, camps and choreography to dance
teams, flag lines, majoretteres and cheerleaders.
Jacqui Productions provides entertainment for
corporate events, weddings, birthday parties and other special events. JLP - Jackie Lockhart Productions produces plays, dance
dramas and musicals.
